Where To Buy Matcha Green Tea

I love the Kenko matcha green tea. I have repurchased many times. It's always fresh with bright green color and fresh grassy taste. Plus the price is very reasonable. I will continue to purchase Kenko matcha.

where to buy matcha green tea

I've tried several matchas. KENKO is sweeter, brighter and the least bitter matcha.Color is So so bright green. However, it clumps - my guess is because of all the shipping but if you have a milk frother or blender, no worries. After I went thru a 100 g bag I went to another non organic (way cheaper) and the color and taste variation was amazing. Not all matcha is created equal. Remember to buy organic and from Japan when you can, it makes a big flavor difference and KENKO matcha gives you all the wonderful matcha benefits you want. Happy sipping!

Matcha is a shade-grown, all-natural, powdered Japanese green tea. Unlike other teas, Matcha undergoes a number of additional steps in the production cycle, such as shade growing, hand picking and stone grinding, before it makes its way into your cup.

Touting that green tea may help you live longer, as some have claimed, may not be all that fantastical, considering the many, seemingly miraculous benefits of consuming green tea. If even only some of the benefits prove accurate, we think that including our CBD Matcha Green Tea as a staple in your tea cupboard is a wise and delicious decision.

I love matcha and typically drink it in the afternoon, but sometimes find the caffeine leaves me feeling jittery and unable to focus. This matcha is truly delicious - not at all bitter - and doesn't give me the same agitated feeling I sometimes get from other teas, while giving me the boost of energy I want in the afternoon. I absolutely love it! Also recommend brewing it with peppermint tea for a delicious blend.

Recognizing good quality matcha tea is easier than you think! It is just a matter of learning how to do it. That is why we have compiled this 9 tip guide on how to buy good quality matcha green tea, to help you buy the best matcha tea powder.

Recognizing good quality matcha tea was one of the things that overwhelmed me the most when buying matcha tea, like a matcha green tea consumer I did not know how to recognize good quality matcha tea and was often confused with so many options!

Sometimes I even encountered flavored matcha or even worst, matcha with fillers such as sugar or powdered milk. If you identify yourself with this struggle, hang in there! Learning how to recognize good quality matcha tea is very easy and here are the tips on how you can buy the best matcha tea powder from now on.

The matcha fever has hit hard, that is why many establishments offer matcha nowadays. However, not all matcha tea is created equal. The processing, the origin, the packaging, are just a few of the factors that will determine the quality of matcha tea. Here is what you should look for when you buy Matcha.

The most important characteristic of good quality matcha green tea is its origin, where does the matcha come from? Is it from one place only - single-origin matcha, or different places? Where is the matcha tea farm located?

Just like wine, the smell will indicate if the matcha you are buying is good quality matcha tea or not. A high-grade matcha tea draws you in with its strong and vivid aroma. You must get the bitterness of the antioxidants but what must be the highlight is its sweetness, given by the amino acids in its shading process. So, look for a strong and sweeter aroma. And, definitely stay away if you see a flavored version.

If you only taste bitterness, then that means that it is not your good quality matcha tea. The best matcha tea powder is the one that will leave a sweet aftertaste. Creating a balance between the bitterness and sweetness is what a good quality matcha tea is capable of doing. Like Japanese would say, umami, or as we like to call it Oishii !!! The sweet after taste comes from the amino acids that build up in the green tea leaves when matcha is properly shaded. If it tastes bitter, it's definitely not your cup of tea...

We all have seen the creamy, frothy matcha that makes us drool. That is what you want your good quality matcha tea to have! The best matcha tea powder will have an excellent frothy foamy layer after whisking, not just a thin layer with large air bubbles. The better the quality of the matcha, the more foam it will create.

Good quality matcha tea should always be packaged and sealed correctly. Especially, in a dark container. This, to prevent air, light, and extreme temperatures. These conditions could damage the tea profile, making it bitter and opaquing its unique flavor. So, always look for airtight cans or resalable bags that are opaque, and store your matcha tea in a dry and dark place to keep its freshness. Preferably, packaged from the origin, Uji, Japan.

Make sure you know where you get the matcha tea from. Lead, radiation and even multiple origin leaves are often a concern in the matcha world. So always look for pure, radiation-free and lead-free matcha tea from a single origin.

This product is fantastic. I like it so much that I bought it for friends in Spain. I drink it cold and hot. It does not have the usual bitter aftertaste that some matcha has, and my mouth is refreshed after drinking it. Another delight about this tea is that the customer service from Sei Mee Tea is incredibly good, efficient, and friendly. Elena, June 2018

I have been interested in trying matcha for a while now, and finally picked up a sample of this stuff. I am in love! I had to quit coffee, and have been drinking black tea. Sounds like matcha is better for you so I think I will make the switch. I used 1tsp of matcha with a small amount of boiling water and then blended with milk, ice, and honey. DELICIOUS!! I think this is a good brand, just not frequented on amazon yet. D. Lee, June 2016

With other teas the leaves are brewed in hot water and discarded, but our high quality matcha powder is whisked in hot water set no hotter than 80C, creating a delightfully frothy and flavoursome brew.

Our matcha can be enjoyed in many forms from naturally organic to flavoursome combos. Try Matcha Jaffa Swirl, Mint Chip Matcha, Matcha Berry Ripple and Salted Matcha Milkshake for a sensational taste!

Boil the kettle to 80C and add your favourite T2 matcha and the hot water to your matcha bowls. Use your T2 bamboo whisk to break up any lumps, whisking until the mixture begins to froth. Warm milk in a saucepan until it is hot, but not boiling, and add to your matcha bowls with a dash of honey to sweeten.

Matcha powder is simply green tea leaves stone ground into a fine powdered form. The actual leaves are the same as the regular green tea leaves you know and love, but the preparation and method of consumption is different giving you a whole lot of extra benefits. While regular green tea drinkers brew the leaves in hot water and then consume only the water (later throwing out the tea leaves), matcha drinkers dissolve the whole leaf in water therefore reaping more potent benefits. Matcha tea bushes are also grown under a special shade for three to four weeks, allowing the levels of chlorophyll, caffeine and amino acids (like L-Theanine) to increase and the leaves to become a deeper shade of green. 041b061a72
