We are continuing to invest heavily in improving our features, especially in tools that help players understand chess more deeply. We have bigger, faster, more reliable servers to go along with our newer, state-of-the-art anti-cheating technology. We are giving more and more money back to the chess community by creating tools to support creators, bringing bigger events for chess players, and creating better content for our members. So I've been offered a free 10-day trial of premium membership...Two questions.First, this isn't really an ideal time for a premium membership for me - I'm rather busy these days. If I leave that message sitting in my inbox for six months, does anyone know if I can pick up the free trial later at a more convenient time? So, as I see it, the main benefit I would get from premium would be chess mentor. There's a couple others that might be nice. So, how valuable is chess mentor? Does it accomplish anything that tactics trainer and a couple Silman books don't do just as well? Am I missing something else?

I was going to get a platinum membership at some point and then I was given a diamond membership for free. The only things I have taken advantage of are unlimited tactics, unlimited lessons, computer analysis, and the auto-vacation time. I would like to host my own tournaments but I need my timeout percentage to go down. And as for Stockfish, I just don't go that in depth with my analysis. The analysis chess.com offers is plenty enough for me to see the errors I need to fix to get better. Also, you mention quite a few features that you can find elsewhere. But part of the benefit is to have all of the features in one place. Not to mention, I've found the features to be the best on here. I used to have another tactics trainer app on my phone, but they were user submitted and not always of great quality. Chess.com allows me to see all of my chess progress in one place. And it's all of top-notch.

If you're not a Premium member, you may have noticed that when you analyse your games you sometimes see a prompt to upgrade to premium. That's because basic analysis and the full analysis available to premium members are a bit different!

However, as you may have already noticed, basic accounts do get full analysis once per day, so you can always see what the premium analysis is like and decide if you want to upgrade :)

At the platinum and diamond membership level, you will get unlimited puzzles. This is particularly helpful if you want to go over many easy tactics via learning mode, a hidden gem of the chess.com puzzle training.

With puzzle rush comes puzzle battle. Puzzle battle is a 1-v-1 puzzle rush battle vs. another opponent. You play a 3-minute puzzle rush and try to get a higher score than your opponent. Each player receives the same puzzles in the same order to keep the game fair. Like live chess, you get a rating that adjusts after each match.

If you like playing against the computer, you will love the chess.com bots. These bots are fun to play against and even allow you to play against chess celebrities. Chess.com is constantly adding new personalities to its arsenal of bots.

The chess.com adaptive bots have ratings of 600, 900, 1200, 1600, and 2000. Each opponent will play closer to real humans than a nerfed chess engine like Stockfish. Tomas, for example, will play a challenging positional game. This means that you will get a less tactical, purposely slower game. You can test out your positional chess by playing Tomas.

The opening explorer is another handy resource offered by chess.com. Free accounts are limited to a depth of just four, but premium accounts go as deep into any opening as you want. You can follow an opening you just played to see if you stayed in the book and where the position deviated from the mainline opening theory. You have the option to explore both master games and games of specific players, including yourself.

The chess.com video library is another treasure trove for chess improvement. There is plenty of free content, but upgrading to a diamond membership will give you unlimited access to the entire video library. There are 10+ minute videos added nearly every day from extremely strong players.

Yes, if you already have an active premium membership, the signup button for higher levels of memberships becomes an upgrade button. Upgrades are priced based on the remaning time left on your membership. If you have an active auto-renew membership, you will need to cancel it before the upgrade can be made.

This is the official 2023 World Chess Championship chess set. For the first time, an edition of 500 sets is not only dedicated to the Match, but to a dynamic shirt in the sport. There is going to be a new World Champion. Year 2023 will be chaotic.
